Legal Secretariats, Ministry of Climate and Enterprise

The Ministry of Climate and Enterprise is responsible for issues related to climate, environment, energy, business, and innovation. There are two legal secretariats within the ministry. We are now looking for legal experts/lawyers to provide legal services to the ministry.

Each legal secretariat has about 20 employees. The tasks include participating in legislative work and solving related problems. You will work with national legislation, which includes writing legal council memos, propositions, departmental memoranda, and legislative texts. As a legal expert/lawyer, you will provide legal services to the ministry and participate in the quality assurance of the ministry's products. The work may also involve EU work and some participation in international negotiations.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a law degree and who is a court of appeal or administrative court assessor or has experience in qualified legal work that we consider equivalent. It is an advantage if you have experience in legislative work within the Government Offices, in the investigative services, or at an authority. Knowledge of one of the ministry's areas of responsibility is also an advantage. The work requires you to express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and have good knowledge of English.

You are analytical and can quickly grasp complex legal issues and summarize, illustrate, and present them in an accessible and pedagogical manner. Sometimes the work is conducted with high intensity and under time pressure, which also requires your ability to be self-sufficient within given timeframes while maintaining efficiency and quality. You must be a Swedish citizen, but you may have a foreign background.

Two or more fixed-term positions. Appointment as a legal expert or fixed-term employment. The positions are full-time. A security check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. The workplace is primarily in Stockholm, but there may also be opportunities for remote work with regular travel to the office in Stockholm.
